On behalf of the Big 8 Gunkie Class of 1993, we'd like to thank Big 8 for quite the interesting
season. Not only did we get to be a part of one of the best drumlines this band has ever seen, but we
also created friendships to last a lifetime in the process. Big 8, you have taught us to never give in, or
give up. You've pushed us to our highest potential, never letting us break down.
To express our gratitude, we offer thanks to each veteren member. No matter how much each
player has offered us, we return our thanks equally. From the gunkies to their respective sub-sections,
we go....

To the basses: All right you guys, you four are some of the best people I know. It's been so much fun
playing along side you for these past few months. You've taken me from a mere freshman who knew
nothing about bass drums, to a more experienced player, forced to meet up with the standards of a vet
bass line. Wendy and Chuck, you guys were always like the parents of the basses, watching over us,
and keeping us in line. Thank you for your patience and time. Dustin and Ray, you two kept me
laughing when i didn't find much to smile about. Thanks for all the inside jokes. Next season will be
great! Thanks to all four of you for a season to remember and cherish forever.          From, Niki

To the Latinos: Well thanks for treating me pretty well. I had a great time this year, and I think it was
mainly due to the 5 of you. I even enjoyed Gunkie week (although there was a lot of sh_t in there, too!)Just about everyone is coming back next year (Best wishes, Diane!) I can't wait 'till next year so  I can see some old faces ready to go for another season, which will hopefully top this one. I had a great time, Louis, Hassan, Jason, Shawn, Diane.                 Thanks. Jimi Schopp

To the Quints: Glue crew in '94. I'll be back next year, and maybe somebody will be nice and let me
play a drum. To Dan and Mark, good luck in the future. To Rob, remember, i want to make the line
next year, so be nice with the audition. And to Chris Wallace, well....I don't know. I was forced to
right this so take what you get.  Thanks for all the bullsh_t.                   Mike.

To the Cymbals: "Hi, I'm Kelly Monroe. Have you seen my muff? It's black, fuzzy, and has a hole in
the middle." These words stick in my mind as I think back to gunkie week, which was one of the most
challenging times of my life. I'd enver even played cymbals before, and I must say that making Big 8
was the number 1 priority in my life. Through the blisters on my hands and the bruises on my forearms, I developed an inner and outer strength to push me through my very first season. I can honestly say that I wouldn't trade it for the world. Paige, Heather, Carla, Becca, Dawn, Trevor-Thank you for bringing more to those 2 pieces of Zildjian brass than just a loud crashing sound.                       I love you guys.               Kelly

To the Snares: Although there's no gunkies in your sub-section, you have proven to serve as a
benchmark for the rest of the line. Good leadership and talent has made the snare line something truly
remarkable. The level of playing for all who have watched and learned has risen to hieghts
unimaginable. For John, Jeff, and Brad, having you guys back bext year will help keep the line up at a
good level, and for the rest, Chris, Cliff, Brian, Frank, and Troy, good luck in any future endeavours
concerning drums and percussion, and best wishes in everything.

Gunkie Class of '93.
